<![CDATA[<p>My Test Timer In Blackboard is Covering the Submit Button, How Do I Fix It?</p><p><span id="bodyfont" style="font-family:Verdana; font-size: 10pt;"><p>Posted: 4/6/2009</p>
<p>While IE8 hasn't been released as a required update for Microsoft Windows some users have started to use it. Currently there seems to be a bug in IE8 and Blackboard. If a test is timed students find the timer "covers" the submit button. </p>
<p>If you find yourself in this situation you will need to logout of Blackboard, and contact your instructor to reset the exam first. It will be necessary for you to apply either of the solutions below.</p>
<p>To date there are two work arounds:</p>
<p>The first, is to install Firefox as your Internet Browser (<a href="http://www.mozilla.org/firefox">http://www.mozilla.org/firefox</a>). After you install do not import any settings. You can then access your exam after you have heard back from your instructor.</p>
<p>The second, is to use the compatibility feature in IE8. More information about it can be found here:</p>
